Who I help

You may be carrying more than you have words for.

Many people arrive at Flourish feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or anxious in ways that are hard to explain. Some find themselves stuck in relationship patterns that keep repeating. Others are confused by reactions that feel bigger than the moment, or unsure why experiences from years ago still shape the present.

You do not need to have language for all of it before we begin. Together we can slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and understand how it may have made sense as an adaptation to something difficult.

Therapy here is collaborative, respectful, and paced according to your needs. You set the direction; my role is to bring clinical training, steadiness, and genuine care to the work alongside you.

How therapy can help

What we might work toward together

  • Increase emotional safety
  • Better understand trauma responses
  • Reduce the intensity and disruption of distressing symptoms
  • Strengthen relationships
  • Improve emotional regulation
  • Develop greater internal communication
  • Reconnect with identity, values, and meaning

Counseling outcomes differ from person to person. No therapist can promise a cure or a guaranteed result; what I can offer is careful, individualized care and an honest conversation about fit.

Therapeutic approach

Evidence-informed care, individually paced

Treatment is shaped around you rather than a fixed protocol. Trauma processing begins only when preparation and stabilization are in place.

EMDR
A structured, well-researched therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they feel less immediate and overwhelming.
Ego-state & parts-informed therapy
Working gently with the different parts of a person's inner experience, building understanding and cooperation rather than conflict.
Emotionally Focused Therapy
An attachment-based approach for couples and individuals that focuses on the emotional bonds underneath recurring cycles.
Person-centered counseling
A relationship built on respect, warmth, and genuine collaboration, where you remain the expert on your own life.
Stabilization & resourcing
Grounding, regulation, and practical skills that come first, so that deeper work happens only when there is enough support in place.

About Christy

A steady, collaborative presence in difficult work

I am Christy, a trauma-informed counselor in Colorado Springs. I work with adults and couples who are navigating trauma, dissociation, anxiety, grief, and relationship strain — often after years of holding a great deal quietly.

My work is grounded in collaboration, compassion, and careful pacing. We move at a speed that keeps you resourced, and we revisit that pace together as often as needed.

You do not have to navigate this alone.

If you are wondering whether Flourish may be a good fit, you are welcome to reach out and begin with a consultation.
